9.4 Common Neurological Conditions

Nurses care for clients with neurological disorders in a variety of clinical settings. Nervous system disorders can occur at any time during the life span and can be very mild to significantly severe or even life-threatening. The remaining sections of this chapter will describe medical treatment and nursing care for several neurologic conditions.
