Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) present a significant challenge in modern nursing care. As the health care industry shifts towards a holistic approach, nurses must integrate evidence-based practice, understand pathophysiology, and adopt a client-centered approach to care for clients with MSDs.
Musculoskeletal health is integral to one’s overall well-being. However, a myriad of conditions can affect the musculoskeletal system, leading to disabilities and a diminished quality of life. In this chapter, we’ll delve into several significant musculoskeletal disorders, including amputation, fractures, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
