16.4 Common Childhood Disorders

The remaining sections of this chapter describe common pediatric disorders in alphabetical order and apply the nursing process to caring for children with these disorders. The last section of this chapter titled “Other Pediatric Disorders” provides a high-level overview of other common pediatric disorders without applying the nursing process. Information about common childhood respiratory disorders is discussed in the “Childhood Respiratory Disorders” chapter.
