Introduction
The urinary system is responsible for removing waste and excess fluids from the body through the production and excretion of urine. It consists of two kidneys, two ureters, the bladder, and the urethra. See Figure 15.1 for an illustration of the female urinary system and Figure 15.2 for an illustration of the male urinary system.
